Samir Babayev: Karabakh University aims to train innovative medical specialists with high ethical values

The new Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences at Karabakh University will train not only professional, but also innovative, compassionate medical specialists with high ethical values, the Director of the Karabakh University Clinic, Samir Babayev, said at the international conference "The Future Model of Nursing and Medical Education in Karabakh."

Report quotes him as saying the establishment of the clinic will play a key role in the development of healthcare in the Karabakh region and will make a significant contribution to bridging existing gaps in medical services. "We aim to turn the Karabakh University Clinic and our future faculty into a recognized center for medical education and innovation in the region and the world, meeting international standards," Babayev emphasized.

Babayev also shared details about the main programs planned at the medical faculty: "This year, we will begin a 6-year program in General Medicine and a 4-year program for nurses. We aim to train nurses specializing in patient care, equipped with research and leadership skills. In the coming years, we also plan to start accepting students for Dentistry and other programs."

The director noted that various specialization opportunities will also be offered at the residency and master's level, including a master's program in public health.
