Number of patients with diabetes mellitus in Azerbaijan revealed

Some 3,896 patients in 53 hemodialysis centers were provided with hemodialysis sessions and appropriate medicines in Azerbaijan for 6 months of this year, Executive Director of TABIB (the public legal entity “Management Union of Medical Territorial Units") Vugar Gurbanov said, Report informs.

He noted that there are currently 284,656 patients in the diabetes registry: "4,839 new patients have been registered in the first 6 months of this year."

Gurbanov added that the number of patients in the register of patients with multiple sclerosis is 2001 people: "In January-June of this year, 34 new patients were registered."

According to the head of TABIB, all registered patients are provided with the necessary medication.
