"Everyone is concerned about the increase in the number of COVID-19 infections. Although there are enough equipment and tests in some places, test results are delayed due to growing demand," WHO representative in Azerbaijan Hande Harmanci said at a media briefing on the results of the World Health Organization's Health Needs Assessment Mission.
According to Report, Harmanci noted that the pandemic affected the provision of primary health care in hospitals:
"In general, all health care workers are doing the best they can in difficult times and continue to do so. Ambulances are working on a tight schedule due to a spike in COVID-19 cases. The mission's primary results are to increase psychological and social support for the overall population, contain the spread of COVID-19 to save lives, improve the health burden, protect health care workers, and so on. The WHO will continue to assist in the most affected areas."
