It is necessary to develop mass immunity to reduce the incidence of measles, expert specialist of Azerbaijan’s healthcare ministry, infectious disease specialist Tayyar Eyvazov said, Report informs.
He noted that one of the reasons for the increase in measles incidence is the refusal of parents to vaccinate their children.
“During the COVID-19 pandemic, certain propaganda was carried out to make people distrust vaccines. However, we must not forget that thanks to vaccines, child mortality rates are reduced. Children can be vaccinated against measles in children’s clinics at their place of residence,” he added.
