Azerbaijan’s healthcare minister, UNAIDS executive director hold meeting

As part of the 10th Global Baku Forum, a meeting has been held between Azerbaijan’s Healthcare Minister Teymur Musayev and Executive Director of the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS), Deputy Secretary General of the UN Winifred 'Winnie' Karagwa Byanyima, Report informs referring to the Healthcare Ministry.

Thanking the executive director of UNAIDS for participating in the Global Baku Forum, Teymur Musayev stressed that Azerbaijan closely cooperates with the relevant UN institutions and supports their activities.

Expressing satisfaction with participation in the 10th Global Baku Forum, Winnie Byanyima noted its excellent organization. She praised the work done in Azerbaijan to combat AIDS and other infectious diseases.

During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on other issues of mutual interest.
