WHO sends medical masks to Azerbaijan

"Medical masks provided by the World Health Organization (WHO) to the Azerbaijani Management Union of Medical Territorial Units (TABIB) free of charge will be given mainly to medical institutions of Azerbaijan," Report informs, quoting Firangiz Aliyeva, head of the Medical Services Department at TABIB.

According to her, it is crucial to protect medical workers during the pandemic: "As in the rest of the world, Azerbaijan attaches great importance to the protection of medical personnel. Our medical facilities will be provided with these masks."

According to the TABIB representative, one of the frequently asked questions is, once someone is vaccinated, do they still have to wear a mask and physical distance?

"Yes, in the short-term, for two reasons. The first is, during such an extensive immunization, not everyone will get vaccinated simultaneously. Some will be vaccinated while others are still waiting and need to be protected by wearing masks, physical distancing, frequent hand-washing, and other safety measures. "
