Zimbabwe deputy FM: Initiatives of Azerbaijan, as NAM chair, are of special importance

The initiatives put forward by Azerbaijan within the framework of its chairmanship of the Non Aligned Movement are of special importance, David Musabayana, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade at Govenment of Zimbabwe said.

According to Report, he was speaking at the plenary session within the framework of the Summit-level Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement Contact Group in response to COVID-19.

"We highly praise Azerbaijan's initiatives on fighting consequences of the pandemic taken within the framework of the chairmanship at NAM," he said noting the importance of today's summit and voicing support for the goals of the organization.

The deputy minister said the complete post-pandemic recovery of the world is not expected soon.

NAM should further adhere to its values, he said, adding that Zimbabwe remains committed to them.
