In Russia's Yekaterinburg, security forces carried out brutal orders directly from the Kremlin itself, and Azerbaijan is also against such vandalism, Azerbaijani MP Zahid Oruj told Report.
He noted that immediately after the events of June 27, all Azerbaijani authorities, the law enforcement system and the media are taking actions that express the general opinion of the people.
"Azerbaijan is against despotism, vandalism, terror and the use of force that began in one of the cities of Russia and resemble not so much the decision of some regional body, but the Kremlin's signature - mass punitive operations based on national, ethnic and religious grounds. All structures of the Azerbaijani state are mobilized to break the will of those who use this force. The well-founded note from the Azerbaijani side, the criminal cases initiated by the Prosecutor General's Office give reason to believe that our state is preparing for very serious tests in the further development of Russian-Azerbaijani relations," the parliamentarian said.
Oruj also drew attention to the operations carried out against the leaders of the diaspora, entrepreneurs, especially Azerbaijanis with great potential.
"We assessed Russia's loyalty, a certain neutrality as a result of the fact that the Azerbaijani state did not enter into any international deals against Moscow in the region and did not strike at the interests of regional states when creating a security architecture. The Azerbaijani state managed to neutralize the Russian state with all its will, political force, economic measures, intercontinental transnational projects. However, apparently, the forces attacking them with the ideology of a global and collective Western threat and ideologically justifying these occupations are returning to attempts to dominate the Caucasus. We can openly state that we have always seen that our victory is absolutely not digested by various fascist forces in the Russian elite," Oruj emphasized.
The Azerbaijani MP also noted that in this case, the forces interested in exacerbating relations between the two countries will launch new additional pressure tools.
"They may try to transfer the processes to the economic and humanitarian, as well as other planes. However, Azerbaijan is incomparably stronger than in the 90s or at the beginning of the last century. If the underlying reason for this pressure is to force Azerbaijan to agree to some processes against its will, it will give a completely opposite result. These steps should dissuade those who want to teach our state a lesson. Before it is too late, the Kremlin should officially and openly express its attitude to these events," he concluded.
