UN thanks Azerbaijan for leadership in addressing issues of landlocked developing countries

The UN High Representative for the Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries and Small Island Developing States (UN-OHRLLS) Rabab Fatima has expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan for its leadership in addressing issues related to landlocked developing countries (LLDCs), Report informs.

"Pleased to welcome the new permanent Representative of Azerbaijan to the UN - Ambassador Tofig Musayev. I extended my appreciation for Azerbaijan’s leadership and strong engagement in LLDC issues. UNOHRLLS looks forward to AzmissionUN’s continued support as we approach LLDC3 and drive forward the new PoA [Program of Action] for LLDCs!" she wrote on X.

The third UN conference on landlocked developing countries will be held in Turkmenistan on August 5-8.
