UK Minister for Europe to arrive in South Caucasus today

UK Minister for Europe Leo Docherty will arrive on a visit to the South Caucasus on November 20.

Report informs citing the British Embassy that as part of his trip to the region, Docherty will visit Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan.

The minister will discuss the process of normalizing relations between Baku and Yerevan, emphasizing the urgent need for direct peace negotiations between the countries to achieve long-term peace and stability in the region.

Ahead of arriving in Yerevan, Minister for Europe Leo Docherty said:

"The South Caucasus faces significant security challenges, both internally and from its neighbours which threaten to destabilize the region."
