The Turan application, which facilitates money transfers between Turkic states and Türkiye, is expanding its reach with the addition of new countries to its coverage, Report informs via Turkish media.
Initially launched in Azerbaijan in 2023, Turan quickly expanded its instant money transfer services to include Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan.
In a significant move towards global reach, Turan has forged partnerships with major international service providers such as Zolotaya Korona, Ria, and Swiss Remit. These collaborations will enable money transfers to Turan accounts from various parts of the world.
Taner Oguz, the marketing manager for the service, emphasized that the application is bridging financial gaps for Turkish communities worldwide.
In 2024, Turan is developing a special plan for users in Azerbaijan.
"This will create an opportunity for free transfers between Türkiye and Azerbaijan,"Oguz revealed.
Established in May 2022, "Turan Teknoloji Anonim Şirketi" operates under the supervision of Türkiye’s Central Bank. The company aims to become a next-generation financial application for users living in all Turkic states. Turan conducts its payment and electronic money activities through licensed entity Birleşik Ödeme and Elektronik Para A.Ş.'s financial services.
Turan implemented a 100% digital money transfer model in Azerbaijan in 2023.
