Timur Jumurbayev: Kazakhstani volunteers' assistance to victims of AZAL plane crash evidence of strong friendship with Azerbaijan

The youth wing of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan (APK) actively cooperates with Azerbaijan. The assistance provided by Kazakh volunteers to the victims of the AZAL plane crash in Aktau in December 2024 was a clear confirmation of the strong friendship between the countries, the head of the Republican public association "Assembly Youth" Timur Jumurbayev told Report.

"We have established close cooperation with the countries of Central Asia and the Turkic states. For the first time, two youth forums were held at the Assembly site - last year and this year. They united young people from the countries of Central Asia and the Turkic world, creating a good platform for the exchange of experience and opinions," Jumurbayev said.

He noted that the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan is, first of all, a mechanism for developing ties between civil society institutions.

"As for cooperation with Azerbaijan, we have now established contact with the Ministry of Youth and Sports. Delegates from Azerbaijan participated in the forum of Turkic countries, which was held in Aktau. I would like to separately note the response of our youth to the tragedy with the Azerbaijani plane: guys from all over the country donated blood, volunteers worked on the spot, helped the injured. This is a vivid example of our true friendship," he emphasized.
