According to the Federal Ministry of the Interior, 187,000 foreigners in Germany were notified to leave the country voluntarily, Report's European bureau informs.
Most of them are foreign nationals who came to Germany in 2015-2019 and sought asylum in this country.
"After receiving the asylum applications, the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees has investigated and made a decision. Some decisions regarding these people were negative, and they were notified to leave the country voluntarily," the ministry said.
There are also citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan among those who have been warned to leave the country voluntarily. After the deadline, the case will be directed to the administrative courts.
Courts usually rule on the forced deportation of asylum seekers in the absence of valid humanitarian or political reasons.
Notably, 7,212 people, including volunteers, have been deported from Germany since January 1, 2020.
