Spox: International support for return of Western Azerbaijanis stems from their right to return

The successive support provided by international organizations for the peaceful, safe and dignified return of Western Azerbaijanis once again proves that their return complies with the norms and principles of international law, Ulviyya Zulfigar, Head of the Public Relations Department of the West Azerbaijan Community, told Report.

Speaking about the expression of support for Western Azerbaijanis in the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, she said the right to return of Western Azerbaijanis is reflected in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights:

"The support expressed to Western Azerbaijanis in other international organizations, such as the UN, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, etc., also stems from the fact that we have the right to return based on the aforementioned principle. The international support given to the just cause of our compatriots, all the achievements in relation to Western Azerbaijan have to do with the moral support shown to us by the Azerbaijani state and the head of state on this issue, and the firm stance he has demonstrated," Zulfigar said.

The spokesperson said that the West Azerbaijan Community thanks all states and international organizations that support the just cause for the return of Azerbaijanis.
