The national leader of Azerbaijan, Heydar Aliyev, laid the foundation for modern bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Russia’s Astrakhan region, Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev said, Report informs.
He was speaking during the conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Heydar Aliyev, on the topic “Trade, economic and humanitarian cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Astrakhan region: current state and prospects.”
He noted that at the moment, Ilham Aliyev continues with great success the policy of his father, bringing relations to a new level.
Mustafayev stressed that there are good conditions for a multiple increase in trade between Azerbaijan and the Astrakhan region: “We have all the opportunities and tools for this.”
“The second promising direction is investment and industrial cooperation. Azerbaijan has a favorable investment climate, which may be of interest to business circles in Astrakhan,” he added.
