Serbian delegation to PACE protests against resolution on Azerbaijan

The Serbian delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) sent a protest to the chairman of the body, Theodoros Roussopoulos, in connection with the resolution adopted against the Azerbaijani delegation.

According to Report, the Serbian delegation noted with regret that it was unable to take part in the vote on this resolution due to the continuation of the process of forming the National Assembly of Serbia after the parliamentary elections held in the country on December 17, 2023.

The Serbian delegation also expressed its dissatisfaction with the resolution adopted in relation to the Azerbaijani delegation "on very dubious grounds."

Their appeal says that the Serbian delegation to PACE expresses its strong protest against the adopted resolution and calls for its revision in order to avoid negative consequences for the reputation and established role of the Assembly and the Council of Europe.
