Second day of Global South NGO Platform kicks off

On the second day of the Founding Forum of the Global South NGO Platform, a Baku meeting of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) representing D-8 countries is being held, Report informs.

The meeting is attended by leaders and representatives of NGOs representing the Global South.

The Global South NGO Platform, established in Baku on April 28, brings together prominent NGO leaders and civil society representatives from 116 countries where approximately 80% of the world's population lives.

The conference is considered a significant event in the life of civil society in the Global South, which covers Asia, Africa, Latin America, Oceania regions - two-thirds of the world's countries.
