Samad Seyidov to attend PACE committee meetings in Paris

Baku. 26 February. REPORT.AZ/ On February 27, Chairman of the Azerbaijani Parliamentary Committee for International and Inter-Parliamentary Relations, head of the Azerbaijani delegation in PACE Samad Seyidov will pay a visit to Paris to attend the meetings of the PACE Committee, Report informs citing the press service of the parliament.

The report on "Combating Money Laundering" will be heard in the Legal Affairs and Human Rights Committee. The participants will exchange views on the activities of NGOs in the  CoE member-states, the meeting of the subcommittee on human rights held in Helsinki, cooperation with the Moroccan Parliament in the democratic sphere, etc. The first training will be held on legal awareness of people in Europe to prevent drug addiction.

The issue of "PACE's role and mission" will be on the agenda of the Committee on Political Affairs and Democracy. Cooperation with the UN will be considered within the framework of the program "Sustainable Development - 2030". The situation in Syria and its impact on neighboring countries will be discussed. An exchange of views on the conference regarding international terrorism to be held in April this year in St. Petersburg will also be held.

Seyidov will express Azerbaijan's position on these and other issues discussed at the meetings.
