Russia offers assistance in delimitation of Armenia-Azerbaijan border

Russia once again confirms its readiness to provide assistance to both Azerbaijan and Armenia on the issue of reconciliation, the Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova said at today's briefing, answering a question from NEWS.ru, Report informs.

Zakharova reminded that the agreements of the leaders of Azerbaijan, Russia and Armenia from 2020 fully retain their relevance.

"We repeat this every week when answering questions. The earliest resumption of full-fledged interaction in a multilateral format would, of course, contribute to establishing sustainable peace and prosperity in the South Caucasus. Of course, we are ready to provide assistance to Azerbaijani and Armenian partners in all key areas of reconciliation between the two countries," said Zakharova.

According to her, positive developments have been achieved in unblocking transport and economic communications within the framework of the specialized trilateral working group co-chaired by the deputy prime ministers of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia.

"We are ready to share our experience in delimitation and demarcation of the border. Specialists in this field, I think, are recognized as among the best in the post-Soviet space. We also have unique cartographic material, and can help in resolving humanitarian issues that have accumulated over the years of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict. In general, we would only be happy to help. But again, I won't say anything new. I am always happy to help Azerbaijani and Armenian friends advance the process of normalizing relations," she added.
