Romualdo Jonam: Mozambique ready to discuss expanding cooperation within GlobE Network in Baku

International cooperation is regarded in Mozambique as one of the most crucial foundations in the fight against corruption and related crimes, Romualdo Jonam, Prosecutor and representative of Mozambique's Central Anti-Corruption Bureau, said at the 6th plenary session of the United Nations Global Operational Network of Anti-Corruption Law Enforcement Authorities – GlobE Network, held in Baku, according to Report.

"The goal of our participation in the Baku meeting is to strengthen operational cooperation and membership, increase the level of trust between anti-corruption agencies, exchange best practices in the field of cross-border investigations, and coordinate a strategy for using the GlobE platform for effective asset recovery and advancing mechanisms for prompt mutual legal assistance requests," he noted.

According to him, Mozambique is actively participating in the GlobE Network platform.

"We have already started using it, and the initial experience has been very positive. We are also happy to be in Baku — it's a fascinating city with a rich culture, and we look forward to exploring its diversity more closely," Jonam added.
