Rector of Russian Diplomatic Academy: We respect Azerbaijan as independent and sovereign partner

Baku. 25 April. REPORT.AZ/ "There is not a single issue that would separate Russia and Azerbaijan".

Report informs, Rector of the Diplomatic Academy of Russian Foreign Ministry Evgeny Bazhanov said.

"Azerbaijan is our strategic partner, as there is no doubt. We have close historical, cultural, economic, political ties.

This is, was and will remain so", E. Bazhanov said.

The rector emphasized that Russia respects Azerbaijan as an independent and sovereign partner, and sees the same regarding itself.

Speaking about Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement, E. Bazhanov noted that Russia maintains ties with both sides of the conflict.

"In Moscow, there one and the other diasporas, we are friends with all.I think that it is necessary to make efforts to settle the conflict, but everything depends on the conflicting parties”, he added.
