Ramil Hasan elected as new Secretary General of TURKPA

At the 14th plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Turkic States (TURKPA) held in Astana, Azerbaijani Parliament member Ramil Hasan was elected as the new Secretary General of the organization.
Report informs that his candidacy was nominated by the Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament, Sahiba Gafarova.
Hasan's candidacy was approved by a unanimous decision of the speakers of parliaments and MPs of the TURKPA member countries.
Previously, the Secretary General of TURKPA was Mehmet Sureyya from Türkiye.
Ramil Hasan also served as the TURKPA Secretary General in 2009-2013.
