President of Uzbekistan: Central Asian сountries сooperate effectively with Azerbaijan

Today, the countries of Central Asia are cooperating effectively with Azerbaijan, implementing projects in trade, transport, and green energy, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said at a special event in Turkmenistan dedicated to preparations for the seventh Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia.

According to Report, citing the press service of the President of Uzbekistan, the participants discussed preparations for the upcoming Consultative Meeting of Central Asian leaders in Tashkent. As part of Uzbekistan’s chairmanship, a joint action plan was approved, meetings were held at the level of security and economic agencies, and media and youth forums were organized. By the end of the year, an inter-parliamentary forum, meetings of defense, trade, and transport ministers, as well as cultural and humanitarian events are expected.

According to Mirziyoyev, Uzbekistan is ready to propose new initiatives in political dialogue, economic cooperation, and regional interaction, including issues of water resources, energy, climate, and cross-border trade.

The event was also attended by Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Administration of Kyrgyzstan Adylbek Kasymaliev, Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov, as well as members of official delegations and representatives of the public.
