A photo exhibition titled "Justice for Khojaly" by local journalist Ricardas Lapaitis, who witnessed the Khojaly tragedy and conveys the realities of the Karabakh war to the world community, has opened at the House of Lithuanian Journalists, Report informs.

The exhibition was organized by the Azerbaijani Embassy in Lithuania.

The event was attended by employees of the embassy, representatives of the local community and journalists, as well as Azerbaijanis living in Lithuania. Azerbaijani Ambassador to Lithuania Tamerlan Garayev stressed that this terrible tragedy cannot be forgotten.

“There are tragedies in the history of every country. But this is an event that the world has kept silent about. We thank the people, including Ricardas Lapaitis, who covered this tragedy. Do you know the number of those killed in Khojaly? I will not say the exact number, since dozens of people are still not found, their fate is unknown,” Garayev noted.

Speaking about the photos he took after the Khojaly massacre in 1992, Ricardas Lapaitis said that the international community has not yet given a fair assessment of this genocide.
