Permanent Rep: Syria ready to work on bilateral projects with Baku

Syria is ready to work with Azerbaijan on bilateral projects of mutual interest, Koussay Aldahhak, Ambassador, Permanent Representative of Syria to the United Nations (UN), told Report.

He made the remark during an event dedicated to Azerbaijan's Independence Day at the headquarters of the UN.

"Currently, efforts are being made to re-establish diplomatic relations between the two countries (Azerbaijan and Syria - ed.) and to strengthen these relations. We are ready to work on bilateral projects that serve mutual interests," the permanent representative said.

The diplomat emphasized that they praise Azerbaijan's active role in international platforms within the framework of the world organization. "We commend Azerbaijan's position in the UN in defending the goals and principles of the charter. Personally, I have visited your country several times, participated in international conferences and meetings, and I appreciate Azerbaijan's activity in this field," Aldahhak noted.
