The Washington agreements are an absolute success for both Armenia and Azerbaijan, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan said in his address to the Armenian people, Report informs.
"Throughout the 34-year history of our statehood, we have tried to evaluate all foreign policy and diplomatic events on a 'victory or defeat' scale. My respected people, I find the courage to say that such an approach is wrong. Because if the choice is always between victory and defeat, defeat is inevitable," he stated.
According to Pashinyan, the agreements reached are a true triumph of the state-building concept in Armenia.
"You can win once, twice, three times, even five or ten times, but a mutual agreement formula that promises success to all parties involved is something completely different. The Washington agreements are an absolute success for both Armenia, Azerbaijan, and even the US. They make our state reliable, stable, and eternal, strengthen our independence and sovereignty, and make our prosperity and happiness real," Pashinyan noted.
