Pashinyan: As result of Washington agreements, Armenia coming out of isolation

As a result of the Washington agreements, Armenia is coming out of isolation after more than 30 years of blockade, which is an outcome that was considered impossible some time ago, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated in his address to the Armenian people, Report informs.

"Roads between Armenia and Azerbaijan are opening. This means that the restoration and construction of transport communications must be accompanied by processes of clarification, delimitation, and agreement of borders," the politician said.

According to Pashinyan, Armenia is ready to simplify border crossing procedures.

"This is an issue that needs to be resolved first. Does this create new concerns for us? Absolutely not. Because the third paragraph of the Washington Declaration establishes the principle of reciprocity, and this is a guarantee that the Republic of Azerbaijan will also operate under the same rules with the Republic of Armenia," he emphasized.
