Armenia and Azerbaijan have recognized each other's inviolability of borders and territorial integrity based on the 1991 Alma-Ata Declaration, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said in his address to the people, Report informs.
"This means both sides acknowledge that the legal territories of the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan correspond to the former Soviet republics—Armenian SSR and Azerbaijani SSR. This reality should find its solution in the process of border demarcation," he said.
"On August 11, the preliminary text of the agreement on peace and establishment of interstate relations between the Armenia and Azerbaijan was published. And a number of long-standing conspiracy theories have failed after this. Our citizens welcomed the fact of signing the agreement with satisfaction," Pashinyan added.
