Pakistan's Lahore elected ECO tourism capital for 2027

Pakistan's Lahore has been elected as the tourism capital of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) for 2027, Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif announced at the 17th ECO summit in Khankendi, Report informs.
"I thank all member states for their support in declaring Lahore the tourism capital for 2027. I am confident that Lahore, the cultural heart of Pakistan, will enchant all the guests. I extend a very warm invitation to all of you," the politician said.
Sharif also congratulated Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan on the selection of Mehri and Korakor as the tourism capitals of the ECO for 2028 and 2029, respectively.
