Official Baku preparing response to Armenia's proposals regarding peace treaty

"The Azerbaijani side is formulating its position regarding the terms of the peace treaty we received from Armenia in late November," Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov told a joint press conference with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan in Baku on December 14, Report informs.

According to him, they will be presented to the other party in the near future.

"I want to announce that Azerbaijan and Türkiye have the same positions on ensuring durable peace and security in the region," the minister stressed.

“The package of proposals we received from Armenia is not the same as before. There is optimism in the new package of proposals,” Bayramov said.

According to him, with these steps, the issue of a negative past can be moved forward step by step: "It is possible to get a positive result if Armenia shows respect for international law."
