Nurgaliyev: Azerbaijan lucky Heydar Aliyev led it in darkest days

Azerbaijan was very lucky that in the most difficult times, the country was led by Heydar Aliyev, Chairman of the Board of the Institute for Foreign Policy Studies under the Kazakh Foreign Ministry Bolat Nurgaliyev said at the 4th International Conference on “Shaping the Geopolitics of the Greater Eurasia: from Past to Present to Future,” dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Heydar Aliyev, Report informs.

Nurgaliyev reminded that during the recent visit of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to Kazakhstan, Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev emphasized the indispensable role of Heydar Aliyev in the development of bilateral relations between the two countries.

“Azerbaijan is now a prosperous country with a rapidly developing economy. Azerbaijan also promotes the ideas of multiculturalism. It was Heydar Aliyev who laid the foundation for all this,” Bolat Nurgaliyev said.

He noted that the national leader has always stood out for his charisma, wisdom and foresight.

“The Caspian Sea and its status was also always in the focus of Heydar Aliyev’s attention, and we worked together on this issue in coordination,” Nurgaliyev added.
