Number of asylum applicants in Azerbaijan revealed

From January through August 2023, 92 people (138 people together with family members) applied for asylum in Azerbaijan, Report informs, citing the country’s State Migration Service.

In 2022, the State Migration Service registered applications for refugee status from 169 applicants (298 people together with family members).

The applicants are predominantly citizens of South Asian countries.
