NATO summit in Washington kicks off

The annual summit of NATO held on the occasion of the 75th anniversary has kicked off in Washington, Report informs.
Leaders of Ukraine, Australia, Japan, New Zealand, and South Korea are also participating in the summit, where 32 member countries are represented at the level of heads of state and government.
The main topic of the summit chaired by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg is the Russia-Ukraine war.
The summit was opened by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken. Member countries will announce a significant package of support to Ukraine after the negotiations held within the framework of the summit.
The most recent NATO summit in the United States took place in 2012, commemorating the alliance’s 50th anniversary.
