Mongolian president congratulates Ilham Aliyev for initiative to host COP29 in Baku

The COP29 is key to achieving climate goals and reducing greenhouse gas emissions, President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh, said in his statement to AnewZ TV, Report informs.

The president stated that the main point is having a common agenda.

"Secondly, all countries should look in the same direction. We also need to improve climate financing mechanisms. If we don't do this now, the world will go its own way and continue to exist without us," said the Mongolian leader.

He also congratulated Azerbaijan and President Ilham Aliyev for the initiative to host the COP conference in Baku.
