Moldova to support Azerbaijan’s mine-clearing efforts in regained Karabakh

Moldova has expressed its desire to support Azerbaijan in clearing territories from mines in Karabakh, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said at a press conference following a meeting with Moldovan Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Nicolae Popescu, Report informs.

Jeyhun Bayramov said that the parties discussed the regional situation and the Azerbaijani minister filled his counterpart in on the work carried out in the liberated territories.

He added that the mine danger remains one of the major problems. For his part, Moldova expressed its desire to support Azerbaijan in the issue of demining. Further details of this cooperation will be discussed later, the foreign minister added.

The minister also said that Azerbaijan is ready to cooperate for the establishment of peace in the region.
