Mohammad S. Alzou’bi: Azerbaijan seriously addressing Islamophobia problem

Azerbaijan is at the forefront of the countries dealing with Islamophobia and combating it, the head and co-founder of DEVE Initiative Mohammad S. Alzou’bi told Report.

DEVE Initiative is a non-profit organization working with think tanks and civil society.

Mohammad S. Alzou’bi expressed hope that thanks to the efforts that Azerbaijan is putting in, the world will see a comprehensive project and a new strategy to combat Islamophobia.

He said that Islamophobia is “a phenomenon destroying the fabric of communities, not just in the Western countries, but it's spreading to other countries neighboring them.”

According to him, Azerbaijan's efforts in this matter deserve great respect. And not only for efforts to overcome Islamophobia but also for organizing events such as the current international conference.
