Lithuanian president: ‘We see Azerbaijan as growing economic power’

Lithuania views Azerbaijan as a growing economic power, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda said, according to Report’s correspondent from Vilnius.

“Today we can count on the healthy state of our bilateral ties. Azerbaijan is an important partner of Lithuania and we are interested in finding mutually beneficial opportunities. We see Azerbaijan as a growing economic power with huge energy potential and a desire to diversify. Various sectors of the Azerbaijani economy, such as information technology, logistics, manufacturing, advanced food processing and renewable energy, attract Lithuanian entrepreneurs,” the president said.

He noted that the development of the economy with a focus on zero emissions may also bring the economies of Azerbaijan and Lithuania closer.

“I firmly believe that our peoples should be united not only economically, but also in the field of science, education and culture,” he concluded.
