Lavrov: ‘Our ambassador on special assignments visited Baku, but Yerevan hasn’t yet confirmed his visit’

The ambassador of the Russian Foreign Ministry on special assignments visited Baku and planned a visit to Yerevan, but our Armenian colleagues have not yet confirmed it, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at a briefing at the III Antalya Diplomacy Forum, Report informs.

The foreign minister noted that Moscow is ready to provide assistance with regard to unblocking all communications in the region, and with regard to the delimitation of the border and, accordingly, the preparation of a peace treaty.

He reminded that Russia appointed an ambassador-at-large, who had already visited Baku, to help normalize Azerbaijani-Armenian relations.

“Our colleagues in Yerevan did not confirm it. This demonstrates the attitude of the Armenian authorities towards Russia,” he noted.
