Jeyhun Bayramov and EU ambassador for Eastern Partnership Program mull current situation around Lachin road

The current situation around the Lachin road was discussed during the meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and the Ambassador of the Eastern Partnership Program of the European Union, Christina Johannesson, Report informs, referring to MFA.

The meeting discussed the current state of the Eastern Partnership, especially energy security and the development of alternative energy resources, issues of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the European Union in several directions, and the current situation in the region.

At the same time, the minister informed the other side about Azerbaijan's peace agenda, the normalization process of Armenia-Azerbaijan relations, the current situation around the Lachin road, and the legitimate demands and security interests of his country in this context. Armenia's obstacles to the peace process and negotiations on the peace agreement have been brought to attention.

At the meeting, opinions were exchanged on other bilateral and regional topical issues.
