The forum "Turkoman Heritage: Civil Society Solidarity" is a symbol of unity of the Turkic world, Iraqi MP Arshad Salehi told journalists on the sidelines of the forum, which started today in Baku, Report informs.
He noted that this forum united Iraqi, Syrian and Azerbaijani Turks and is the result of the activities of President Ilham Aliyev.
"We visited Shusha and Fuzuli. During our visit to Karabakh, we witnessed extensive destruction there. Iraqi Turkomans experienced something similar in 1991, so we can say that the fates of our nations are similar," Salehi added.
