Iran MFA: Name of new ambassador to Azerbaijan to be announced in accordance with administrative procedures

The name of the new Iranian ambassador to Azerbaijan will be announced in accordance with administrative procedures, Spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry Esmaeil Baghaei said, Report informs referring to Iranian media.

He noted that the process of selecting the ambassador has already been completed.

"Relations with the countries of Central Asia and the Caucasus are of great importance to us. As for Azerbaijan, the ambassador has already been selected. This person is an experienced and well-known diplomat in the Eurasian region, but let me inform you in accordance with administrative procedures after the completion of the administrative process," he added.
