Ilham Aliyev: Relations between Azerbaijan and Russia will steadily strengthen and expand

"The centuries-old ties of friendship and good neighborliness that bind our peoples are a reliable basis for the progressive development of the Azerbaijani-Russian strategic partnership and multifaceted cooperation," President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said in a congratulatory letter to President Vladimir Putin on the occasion of the national holiday of the Russian Federation - Russia Day, Report informs.

The head of state noted that the interaction of the two countries on a wide range of issues on the bilateral agenda is especially satisfying.

"The high level of our interstate ties that have developed over the past thirty years was consolidated in February. I am sure that through joint efforts, the relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation will continue to steadily strengthen and expand for the benefit of our peoples and countries," Ilham Aliyev said.
