Armenia and Azerbaijan have reached a preliminary agreement on joint search for missing persons, the Director of the National Security Service of Armenia, Armen Abazyan, told journalists, Report informs.
Today representatives of the two countries' commissions on missing persons held a meeting.
"Yes, the meeting took place. This is already the second meeting. Issues related to the fate of missing persons and possible search operations were discussed. A preliminary agreement was reached to continue this work. I assess the meeting positively," said Abazyan.
He has not yet named the timeframe for the start of the work.
The previous meeting of the Armenian and Azerbaijani commissions to determine the fate of missing persons took place on February 7.
