Hakan Fidan: It is important Azerbaijan and Armenia sign peace treaty

The international community should support the process of normalizing relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said at a joint press conference with his Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov in Ankara, Report informs.

According to him, Türkiye supports the normalization of relations between Baku and Yerevan, and the international community should also support this process.

Hakan Fidan noted that negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan are being held at various venues: “We are closely monitoring these contacts. The signing of a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan is very important. Efforts are also being made to restore diplomatic relations between Türkiye and Armenia.”
