Hakan Fidan calls for demilitarization of Black Sea

In his speech at the 11th Global Baku Forum on "Fixing the Fractured World," Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan called for the demilitarization of the Black Sea, Report informs.

According to him, calm reigned in the Black Sea before the wars: "After the war, militarization began. We achieved the grain deal in the Russia-Ukraine war. Conditions must be created for the transportation of grain and other goods through the Black Sea. The role of the Black Sea in the region must not be lost. Militarization is dangerous for the countries of the region."
