Hajiyev: Germany can contribute to South Caucasus economic transformation

Germany can make a significant contribution to the economic transformation in the South Caucasus, Hikmat Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan - Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration, said in an interview with the German newspaper Berliner Zeitung, Report informs.

"Germany has high prestige in the region. President Frank-Walter Steinmeier has recently visited Baku. He is highly respected in Azerbaijan. Germany can do more not only in the field of peace policy, but also especially in the economic transformation of the South Caucasus. Germany is an economic superpower in the European Union and one of the leading economies worldwide. We expect German companies to be more active," Hajiyev stated.
