France - only European country concerned about development of Azerbaijan-EU relations - OPINION

France is the only European country that is concerned about the development of Azerbaijan-EU relations, member of the Milli Majlis (Parliament) Aydin Huseynov told Report.

He emphasized that France wants to replace Russia, which is indicated by the statement of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of this country, Catherine Colonna, about the importance of extending the mandate of the European Union's observation mission in Armenia:

"France seems eager to settle permanently in the region under the pretext of the European Union. What is amazing is that Russia still turns a blind eye to this. I wonder for how long will Russia will tolerate the transformation of its outpost into a French colony?!"

"It does not matter for Armenia. This state, which has never been independent, is simply changing its yoke. The main issue is that France takes these steps under the cover of the European Union. Paris also wants to spoil the relations between Azerbaijan and the European Union. France seems to be the only European country concerned about the development of relations between Azerbaijan and the European Union," Huseynov said.
