Former Uzbek FM: 'One of the components of the peace agreement is the opening of the Zangazur Corridor'

In his speech at the swearing-in ceremony, the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, gave very clear messages about the situation in the South Caucasus, including relations with Armenia, Vladimir Norov, the former minister of foreign affairs of Uzbekistan, told Report.

The diplomat said that the sooner Armenia and Azerbaijan sign a peace treaty, the better: “One of the components of the peace agreement is the opening of the Zangazur Corridor. This is a serious matter, especially for Yerevan. The opening of the Zangazur Corridor will be profitable for the whole region, including Armenia. It should be taken into account that the capabilities of Armenia are less than the resources of Azerbaijan. Therefore, with the opening of the Zangazur Corridor, Armenia can get serious opportunities.”
