Former president of Latvia: Heydar Aliyev - example of leader trusted by people

Each country has its own founding father, and for Azerbaijan it is the national leader Heydar Aliyev, former President of Latvia Valdis Zatlers told Report.

“People need a leader who has his own vision, who is trusted and supported by the people. Heydar Aliyev is one of such examples,” Zatlers said.

Speaking about the 10th Global Baku Forum taking place on March 9 in the capital of Azerbaijan, the former president of Latvia noted that its importance is growing from year to year, given the topics discussed during the event:

“During the first panel session, the whole room was full, which means that everyone is interested in this forum and the hot topics discussed during it. This means that this forum has a special place.”
