Former Commissioner: EU urgently needs to be enlarged

The European Union (EU) urgently needs to be enlarged, Andris Piebalgs, Former European Commissioner for Energy, said at the 8th panel themed “Regional Perspectives: EU and its Neighbors” of the 11th Global Baku Forum, Report informs.
He said that a deadline for application and membership can be set for this: "We should think about speeding up the process. Appropriate work should be done for this."
